I have over 5 years experience creating applications. My focus is to create software with to support on data analysis, and specifically in the water and climate adaptation sector. Since 2023, I became self-employed and I can support you with the following services.

  1. Senior developer

    2020 — Present

    New product, involved from the start, Aquasuite analytics; a machine learning timeseries application for the international urban water sector to produce and visualize actionable insights. We started out with a team of 6 developers and grew to 5 teams. I was responsible for the API and frontend application, which was one of the five teams.

  2. Geo-ICT developer

    2017 — 2020

    Project-based software development, such as BlueLabel, Nereda designer, National Rain Radar, web app for CATCH. Also supported ~15 projects with geo- and hydrological data processing and modelling.

  3. GIS and automation expert

    2014 — 2017

    Technical advisor and capacity builder at various international water utilities. Responsible for setting up an online assets management spatial database system of the drinking water assets. Also, together with local vendors, we introduced a SCADA automation system of the ground water pumps.

Education

  1. Master Physical Geography

    2012 — 2014

    At Utrecht University I studied coastal dynamics & fluvial systems. During that time I enjoyed automating data streams and coding, while having a good understanding of the subject.

  2. Bachelor Civil Engineering

    2009 — 2012

    At Twente University I studied civil engineering. This is where I first started developing simple applications in Matlab. Besider technical aspects of project, it gave a good grounding in stakeholder involvement, business and management aspects of projects.
